Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. While we have been pretty quiet in the last 3 weeks, we are actually working hard on some big features that we will be releasing gradually early 2011. One of the new features will allow you to create custom Craigslist templates easily by hiring 3rd parties. Stay tuned.
In the meanwhile, there are 3 noticeable changes recently.
New Watermarking Options
While we always had the ability to watermark the photos you uploaded, it was a manual setup process by request only. We just automated this process and put the control in your hands.
If you are an admin or manager, you’ll find a new watermarking option under Account > Update Account Info > Account Settings. The new option gives you the ability to watermark different areas of your uploaded photos by checking off a couple boxes. The watermark will be your agency name and website (if available).
Please Note: Only newly uploaded photos will be watermarked, while your old photos are not affected.
Reset Ad Counters
Based on your feedback, we added a new feature under My Advertisements to allow you to reset all your ad counters. This way you can reset your ad campaign and start fresh. When you reset your ad counters, all the post times and hits are reset to 0 for all your ads. You’ll find it in the new More Actions button in My Advertisements page.
Email Upgrade
As you have probably noticed that the notification emails we sent out are different from before. You might not know that sending large quantities of emails is a very difficult task. To combat spam, mail providers have setup strict rules, which makes sending emails difficult. To improve our email delivery rates, and giving you the ability to easily unsubscribe from different types of emails, we have moved our mail delivery to MailChimp (like Constant Contacts), the leader in email marketing.
We have plans in the future to improve your marketing email delivery as well with MailChimp and similar services.
