Dashboard Announcements Color Backgrounds

09 June 2009

To help distinguish your new announcements from your old announcements, we added a color background to the messages. High priority announcements have red backgrounds, medium priority announcements have yellow backgrounds, and low priority announcements have green backgrounds. You will also notice that as the messages get older, the color will fade, and the background color will completely fade out after 7 days. Please let us know what you think.

We added city/neighborhood descriptions onto the ads. We are actively adding new city/neighborhood descriptions, and as our collection of descriptions grow, it will greatly reduce your listings being flagged as duplicate on Craigslist. If you have any descriptions you want to add, please email us.

You can change the time period to update the report. We will also add a daily on/off market snapshot to the Dashboard in a few days.

CITY/AREAS Re-organized

01 June 2009

In order to keep our data clean and consistent, we have changed the way to enter city and areas in the system.

We added a non-required field “Neighborhood”, and are now conforming to the MLS cities and neighborhoods. Allston, Brighton and other Boston neighborhoods need to have Boston as a city with the appropriate Neighborhood selected. Please see the list of Boston neighborhoods below.

We are also renaming the current areas to POI to better reflect the nature of these tags.

Boston Neighborhoods:
Allston, Back Bay, Bay Village, Beacon Hill, Brighton, Charlestown, Chinatown,
Leather District, Dorchester, Downtown, East Boston, Fenway, Kenmore, Hyde Park,
Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Mission Hill, North End, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston,
South End, West End, West Roxbury

Please give us your feedback. Thanks!
